Welcome to Recycled Creations, where unwanted and discarded items are given another chance to become something useful, beautiful and unexpected.

We believe that what one person sees as rubbish, another can see as possibility.

Every day, clothing, household items, packaging, craft materials and countless other objects are thrown away and sent to landfill. Yet many of these things still have value. With a little imagination, they can be reused, repurposed and transformed into artworks, practical creations and something entirely new.

Recycled Creations is about helping our community see those possibilities.

What We Do

We use art and craft to demonstrate creative ways of working with recycled, reclaimed and unwanted materials.

Rather than beginning with the question “What do we need to buy?”, we like to begin with:

“What do we already have, and what could this become?”

Through our creative projects, community activities and monthly Art & Craft Gatherings, we encourage people to experiment, share ideas, learn from one another and discover the enjoyment of creating without needing expensive or new materials.

We can also adapt our workshops and creative activities to suit different demographics, abilities and community settings. This allows us to work with a diverse range of people and create experiences that are welcoming, accessible and relevant to those taking part.

Creativity, Connection & Wellbeing

Recycled Creations isn’t only about reducing waste.

We believe art and creativity can play an important role in mental and emotional wellbeing.

Making something with your hands can provide an opportunity to slow down, focus on the present moment, experiment and express yourself. There doesn’t have to be a right or wrong way to create.

Bringing people together around creativity also creates opportunities for conversation, friendship and connection with like-minded people.

Sometimes the finished artwork is only part of the experience. The conversations, laughter, sharing of ideas and sense of belonging that happen while creating can be just as valuable.

Why Recycling Matters to Us

We want more people to become aware of how much we throw away — and how much of it could have another life.

Recycling doesn’t always have to mean putting something into a recycling bin.

It can also mean looking at an unwanted object and seeing it differently.

Can it be reused?
Can it be repaired?
Can it be shared?
Can it be repurposed?
Can it become art?

Every object we keep in use for longer is one less object unnecessarily entering landfill.

More importantly, changing the way we look at unwanted things can begin to change the way we think about consumption itself.

Creating Change Through Community

Our aim is to encourage a growing community of people who are willing to reuse, share, recycle, repurpose and reimagine.

We want children, adults, families, community groups and organisations to discover that sustainability can also be creative, social and enjoyable.

You don’t need to consider yourself an artist.

You don’t need expensive materials.

And you certainly don’t need everything to be new.

You simply need curiosity, imagination and a willingness to ask:

“What else could this become?”
